I2D-BIO_2022_143. The aim of this study was to provide preliminary information about the movement patterns of mammals and bird species present in urban areas of Valle de Aburrá, Antioquia, Colombia using GPS/GSM and GPS/iridium telemetry. This data set currently includes 288.854 geographic coordinates obtained from 82 individuals belonging to 19 species (Bird: Milvago chimachima, Phimosus infuscatus, Bubulcus ibis, Ortalis columbiana, Ardea alba, Asio clamator, Chamaepetes goudotii, Ciccaba albitarsis, Coragyps atratus, Nycticorax nycticorax, Phalacrocorax brasilianus; Mammals: Cerdocyon thous, Syntheosciurus granatensis, Didelphis marsupialis, Puma concolor, Choloepus hoffmanni, Dasyprocta punctata, Leopardus tigrinus, Saguinus leucopus). The first coordinate was taken on October 11, 2022 and the last on April 12, 2024.

In this study, mammals and bird species present in urban areas of the Valle de Aburrá that had a minimum average weight of 300 grams (Bird: Milvago chimachima, Phimosus infuscatus, Bubulcus ibis, Ortalis columbiana, Ardea alba, Asio clamator, Chamaepetes goudotii, Ciccaba albitarsis, Coragyps atratus, Nycticorax nycticorax, Phalacrocorax brasilianus; Mammals: Cerdocyon thous, Syntheosciurus granatensis, Didelphis marsupialis, Puma concolor, Choloepus hoffmanni, Dasyprocta punctata, Leopardus tigrinus, Saguinus leucopus) were prioritized.

Descripción del diseño | In the study, 82 individuals belonging to some species of birds and mammals with different movement capacities and habitat requirements will be captured. Each individual will be fitted with a GPS/GSM or GPS/Iridium device, depending on the species, and will be monitored for the life of the device. |

In the study, 82 individuals belonging to 19 species of birds and mammals with different movement capacities and habitat requirements were captured. Each individual were fitted with a GPS/GSM or GPS/Iridium device and were monitored for the life of the device. 78 devices sent data. Descripción de la metodología paso a paso:
- Capture each individuals with especiphic methods by species.
- Install the GPS/GSM (CTT) or GPS/Iridium (Telonics) telemetry device.
- Download the data through the Movebank platform.
- Perform the coordinate curation process.
